OF FIREARMS AS FACTOR OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY OF OFFICERS
OF DRUG ENFORCEMENT UNITS

Annotation

The article discusses the problems of professional and psychological preparation necessary for the application and use of firearms by the officers of drug enforcement units. It presents the results of collaboration of instructors of the Department of Criminal Investi-gations at Far Eastern Institute of Further Higher Professional Education who teach firearms application in concordance with psycho-logical training which proves extremely relevant. It is indicated that such approach breeds fruitful consequences since it facilitates personal adaptation potential which is viewed as an important factor of psychological safety in the professional activity of the officers of drug enforcement units.
