THE SUPREME COMMAND OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY IN THE RUSSO-JAPANESE WAR (1904–1905)

The article considers the structure of the higher command of the Russian army which participated in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905). The complex characterization of generals on the basis of « Generals' Index Regarding Seniority» is presented. Distinctive features of the Russian military leaders of that period are analyzed. Strong points as well as weaknesses of the organization, management and combat training of the Russian troops are demonstrated.
