The article considers the philosophical and religious anthropology of Victor I. Nesmelov, professor of Kazan Theological academy. The following concepts of Nesmelov's anthropological system are under analysis: 1) the phenomenon of “human”; 2) the corporeality and spirituality interrelation; 3) the dual nature of Man and attempts of overcoming the duality in question.
