Annotation

Russian spiritual academic philosophy has comprised various doctrines of Man. Archbishop Nikanor employed the latest findings in the domain of logic and psychology as the foundation for his own anthropological and eschatological doctrine. In this, he isn't far from Augustine's moderate mysticism. Body and soul were viewed qua two opposing principles of life, excluding one another; never-theless, Innokenty admitted they were identical, metaphysically. The theologian thoroughly investigates the workings of human soul, and establishes a correlation between the latter and corporeality.

Key words: philosophical theism, spiritualism, soul, body, mystical condition.
