Annotation

Chemical terminology is one of the broadest terminological systems. It is enlarged via lexemes of the literary language, international notions and loanwords. Today most loan terms come from the English language as an international language. This article presents a study of the borrowed English terms, their features and reasons for borrowing.

Key words: terminology, loanword, calque, direct borrowing.
