Annotation

The present article deals with nouns of temporal semantics naming definite units of time in the Lezgin and English languages.

Some units of time are compared in the considered languages and a conclusion is made that in the English language the nouns naming definite units of time are original, while in the Lezgin language they are mainly borrowed from other languages.
