INTERACTION OF COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS AND EMOTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PERSON DURING ADAPTATION PERIOD OF STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Annotation

The author considers the cognitive functions and emotional characteristics of children in the process of his/her adaptation period prior to school. The undertaken analysis allowed for establishing an interaction between the development of cognitive functions of students of elementary schools (such as memory, cognition, speech, praxis, intellect) and the individually-oriented approach of a psychologist-educator. Certain emotions (joy, fear, contentment) experienced by children directly affect the educational process and academic proficiency of a student.
