Yulia Aleksandrovna Tyurina is Doctor Of Sociology, Professor of the Chair of Social Work and Sociology, Director of the Institute of Economics at Far Eastern State Transportation University.
The article discusses the specific features characteristic of the adaptation behavior of the Far Eastern youth which were revealed during a sociological poll "Migration Potential and Means of Keeping Young Specialists in the Region", which was held in thirteen leading higher educational institutions of Khabarovsky krai, Jewish Autonomous region and Kamchatka region. The strategies of behavior undertaken by the young people when electing educational domain and place of employment in the conditions of a challenging migration situation in the region have been demonstrated.
