Annotation

In the given article various aspects of development of railway transport of the People's Republic of China viewed in close connection with its state policy and economy are considered. The author notes the specific features of the 80-s of the XX century in the history of railway construction in China: its tasks, scope, main activities, success and problems of the aforementioned period. Natural and national lines of the Chinese policy in the development of railway transport come to light. For the first time in the research of this problem a considerable amount of trade publications of railway transport is introduced into scientific circulation.
