This article deals with the concept of "adaptation" as the process and the result in terms of the formation of labor dynasties. Adaptation, as a subject's active (conscious or unconscious) formation of strategies, ways of bringing a situation under control at different levels of the regulation of activity, state, behavior is necessary for reaching a person's stability in the changing world. In this context, analysis of the psychological phenomenon of "dynasty", which includes psychological patterns of professional consciousness formation, professional experience and professional settings, allows to study the adaptive experience accumulated by labor dynasty generations and to trace the formation of stability in descendants' professional choices.

The author describes the results of the analysis of the adaptation strategies of the representatives of railwayman labor dynasty and workers who do not belong to any labor dynasty. The article reveals the process of accumulation and transfer of adaptation experience from generation to generation as well as positive and negative aspects of the psychological phenomenon of "dynasty" in the context of adaptation.

It shows the example of adaptive potential of the representatives of railwayman labor dynasty, as well as the relationship of adaptability and professional success. The author analyzes labor dynasties as the process and the result of adaptation, where a person not only adapts to the changing professional environment, but also adapts this environment to his needs and requirements, and creates the conditions for the development of future generations.
