Annotation

The author discusses the issues concerning the activity of Russian state authorities as regards the protection of national interests in the Far Eastern marine areas. An emphasis is laid upon the functioning of Priamurye Department of State Property and the Military Department of the Russian Empire in terms of crime prevention of foreign poaching in the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea prior to the Russo-Japanese War.
