Annotation

The author defines the relevance of the traditional linguistic method aimed at determining the true, literal meaning of a word, namely, etymological analysis when applied in the domain of contemporary linguo-cognitive studies, the object of scrutiny being the inner form of one of the most ambivalent mental constructs - the concept DREAM.
