The article is devoted to the justification of the basic methodological principles of the concept of regional ethnic and migration policies in Russia's Far East. Based on the existing methodological grounds the main tendencies of the policy and their role in the prevention of possible conflicts are defined. Particular attention is paid to the relationship and interdependence of social, economic and ethnomigrational processes. The leading idea of this paper is the rationale for constructing the concept of regional ethnic and migration policy in the context of the development strategy of the Far Eastern region.
