Annotation

The research is focused on the concept of adaptation as a self-declaring of a personality in special living conditions. Adaptation as a self-declaring of a person in special living conditions becomes possible due to awareness of purport of life, domination of existential values, directing personal behavior and activity at self-actualization.

The main aspect of the system of personal values is a purport of life in any living conditions because "The human being cannot live in a condition of emptiness for very long: if he is not growing toward something, he does not merely stagnate; the pent-up potentialities turn into morbidity and despair, and eventually into destructive activities" (Rollo May).

A personality as a subject of adaptation always acts in accordance with his or her aims of life. A person finds aims of life during the interaction with the world. Meanings and values of life are the answers of the question: What is the purpose of this or that activity?

The study of a personality as a subject of adaptation is focused on inner activity of a person, aimed at the search for a strategy of interaction with new surrounding reality. Semantic regulation is aimed at building the relationships with the world in the individual consciousness and submission of personal activity to these relationships, plays the leading role in the process of adaption in special living conditions.

Key words: semantic sphere of a personality, semantic regulation, self-declaring of a personality, intentionality, adaptation, special living conditions.
