PSYCHOLOGICAL CULTURE AS A FACTOR OF SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF SPECIALISTS IN DIFFERENT FIELDS

Annotation

The article considers the correlation between psychological culture of professionals in different fields and their professional activity success. A review of the elements of psychological culture introduced in research papers of domestic and foreign authors is given. Psychological culture is understood by the author as a person's integral characteristics, which reveals in cultural ways of life activity and interaction with the world around; it includes the content of relations to oneself and other people. The structure of psychological culture is represented as a set of cognitive, affective, motivational and behavioral components. The author states that success of professional activity is an external estimated result achieved in the course of professional activity and assessment of an expert satisfaction with his professional activity. The results of empirical study are represented in the article; it is proved that the correlation between psychological culture of different-type professionals and their professional success differs in accordance with the specific character of the professional activity. It was proved that people whose professional activity is connected with working with people have the majority of correlation between affective and motivational components of psychological culture and parameters of professional success. This fact allows making conclusion about their decisive role in professional efficiency achievement. Those whose professional activity is connected with technology show the majority of correlations between cognitive and affective components of psychological culture and parameters of professional success which allows making conclusion about decisive role of these particular components in professional efficiency achievement.
