Soviet-Chinese management of the Chinese Eastern Railway in 1924-1935 was a rather bold experiment which revealed all dangers and traps of such dual ownership. Each side defended its own interests, and conciliation of these interests was complicated. In the end this had led to aggravation of the Soviet-Chinese relations and the loss of the Chinese-Eastern Railway on both sides, Soviet and Chinese.
