ETHNO-POLITICAL CONFLICT POTENTIAL OF THE FAR EAST IN THE LIGHT OF THE MULTICULTURALISTIC POLITICS*

The paper presents theoretical and methodological analysis of ethno-political conflict potential in the Russian Far East in the light of the analysis of the experience of the politics of multiculturalism and different assessments of its efficiency and suitability of its realization in Russia. The author considers different research approaches to determination of conflict potential of ethnic migration; substantiates the interdependence between ethno-political conflict potential in the Far Eastern territories and socio-economic contra-dictions and between the phenomena of forming and old resident diasporas; and shows basic directions of scientifically substantiated national-ethnic policy and their role in prevention and monitoring of ethno-political conflicts.
