FACTORS OF FORMATION OF TRANSNATIONAL IDENTITY IN NORTHEAST ASIA*

The process of economic cooperation in Northeast Asia develops in accordance with the rational model of interaction. The shift on a higher level of regional integration requires development of transnational identity in Northeast Asia. The process of formation of regional identity comprises different groups of factors divided according to the method of STEEPLE-analysis into social, technological, economical, ecological, political, legal and ethnic. At present, combined actions of these factors do not foster formation of transnational identity in Northeast Asia.
