Annotation

The article deals with an analysis of the activity of Vladivostok theatres in the period of radical ideological transformation in 1922-1941. Referring to the investigations of Russian and foreign researchers the authors mark the sharp change of conditions in theatres' activities and the restriction of their possibilities; they also follow the tendencies to monotony in stage language and point out the depletion of the multicultural theatrical environment of Vladivostok.

Key words: national theatres, cabaret theatres, poetry concerts, literary and artistic communities, clubs, principles of Communist education.
