Annotation

The paper considers the process of the establishment of the official Soviet festivity culture in the cities of the Far East in the 1920s. The major content of this process was constituted by the ousting of religious holidays and the inclusion of revolutionary holidays in the holiday calendar. The major goal pursued by this process was to legitimize the new Soviet power.
