Annotation

This paper addresses the problem of happiness as a basis of subjective well-being; historical analysis of the problem was made beginning with ancient philosophy till modern psychology. The data on interrelation of subjective sense of happiness, sociodemographic and personal characteristics are brought up and analyzed.
