CRISIS WITHIN THE SOCIAL REALIZATION OF CHILDHOOD (BASED ON MATERIALS OF THE KHABAROVSK KRAY AT THE END OF THE 20TH AND BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURIES)*

Annotation

The paper considers qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the condition of childhood from the point of view of regional measurement (based on materials of the Khabarovsk Kray). The maintenance of the social potential of childhood is connected with the analysis of risk factors. The author distinguishes two groups of risk factors: the environment and activities which are reproduced by the society and family and by children themselves. Each group of factors requires the development of a program directed to the elimination of their impact on children. The whole institution of childhood needs social protection, nevertheless the state must support marginal childhood first.
