Annotation

The Kyoto School is a group of Japanese thinkers of the 20th century who developed a new original system of thought and tried to solve the serious cultural and historical problem of communication between Japanese intellectual and spiritual traditions and the scientific methods and categories of Western philosophy.

        Key words: Nishida Kitaro, Zen-Buddhism, cross-cultural dialogue, modernization, Eurocentrism, nationalism.
