Annotation

The article reviews political consequences of the English parliamentary reform of 1832 which became the first reform of the suffrage which had begun the process of replacement of a medieval principle of equal representation from corporate units by a new democratic principle of representation from amount of the population. The occurrence of representatives of commercial and industrial bourgeoisie in the parliament, and consolidation of parliamentary groupings into political parties were the consequences of reform of 1832.
