POLICY OF FRANCE IN THE PACIFIC REGION IN THE END OF THE 20TH CENTURY

Annotation

The basic problem set in the article is external a policy of France in a context of problems of national safety of the country. The Pacific region occupied a special place in military-political strategy of France. Taking into account importance of the region in future world politics and economy, France made all efforts for consolidation in the South Pacific. Except for it nuclear tests carried out met the national interests. Despite of arising difficulties in relations with the countries of the region, France has managed not only to hold its positions in the southern part of Pacific Ocean, but to start a new policy for expansion its independent role in the sphere of the international relations and security of the whole Pacific region.
