The article draws attention to the present day need for school principles whose activity must perform not only the function of adaptation but the function of transformation and transmission to something new, in other words, to self-development. In modern conditions any school principle ought to be capable of constant reconsider and improve methods of his or her activity as well as of risk. School principle’s "authorship" is integration of his or her professional and personal features showing his or her capability to creative transformation of reality.
The article deals with the basic characteristics of the "authorship" phenomenon:
- integration of internal freedom and responsibility;
- self-actualization;
- non adaptive activity;
- reflexive interaction and etc.
