THE COGNITIVE BASES OF LANGUAGE AND CULTURE INTERACTION

Annotation

The paper introduces the hypothesis of language and culture interaction cognitive basis that is the interaction of conceptualization and verbalization processes. In the author's view, conceptual representations and verbal (and nonverbal) representations also interact. The mechanism of converting conceptual representations into language and body language ones is perception understood as a wide cognitive construct, which allows the author to include conceptual characteristics of the concept inferred from nonverbal representations. Conceptual analysis of temporal and axiological conceptospheres demonstrates the cognitive basis of language and culture interaction.
