TIME AND CONSCIOUSNESS: ANTIQUE SOURCES OF THE PROBLEM
S. V. Dzyuba

Annotation

This article discusses antique sources of mutual relationship of time and consciousness - one of the central problems of philosophy of time of the 20th century. This problem was verbalized in ancient philosophy as a problem of mutual relationship of time and soul. This was how the problem was presented in Aristotle’s and Plotin's concepts of time. According to Aristotle time is related only to things due to a certain cognitive approach; therefore, it exists only with an individual soul and, according to Plotin, time is a movement of the world and an individual soul.
