Cultural presupposition in poetry translation

Аннотация: The article considers presuming presupposition of the source text in the target text, which is one of the main factors in translating poetry. The attention given to presupposition in the course of poetry translation can enhance the understanding of translatio n. In the article, the author shows the ways translators transfer cultural presuppositions or omit them for better understanding of the poem.
